Jakarta offers Rp271.3 trillion in investment projects at JIF 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Provincial Government is offering 40 strategic projects and thematic area developments across seven locations, with an investment value of approximately 16.1 billion US dollars, or equivalent to Rp271.3 trillion, through the Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) 2026.
Fransisca Hicca, Associate Expert Investment Manager at the Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), stated that the 40 strategic projects, which hold an investment value of around 6.9 billion US dollars, or equivalent to Rp114 trillion, cover nine sectors.
“The nine sectors are residential, hospitality including hotel construction, the development of sports facilities, industrial and logistics zones, commercial, mixed-use transit-oriented development (TOD), utility development, transport, and waterfront townships,” she said during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
These projects are owned by Jakarta’s Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), subsidiaries of BUMD, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), and Public Service Agencies (BLU) that have projects in Jakarta.
In addition to projects owned by Jakarta’s BUMD, the Provincial Government, through DPMPTSP, presented studies for investment opportunities in seven areas of Jakarta that can be developed into thematic zones: Grogol Petamburan, Ragunan, Ancol, Monas, Cawang, Kebon Jeruk, and the Jakarta coastline.
“For example, the Grogol Petamburan area is suitable to be developed as an educational zone, then the Ragunan area to become a centre for sustainable development, and Kebon Jeruk to be developed as a residential area,” Fransisca explained.
She noted that the investment value for all these area developments is approximately 9.1 billion US dollars, or equivalent to Rp157.3 trillion.
“When all the potential is combined, the total investment potential offered at JIF 2026 is around Rp271.3 trillion, or equivalent to 16.1 billion USD, using the 2026 state budget exchange rate,” she added.
Now in its sixth year, JIF 2026 is an annual business forum organised by the Jakarta Provincial Government through the Jakarta Investment Centre management unit.
This year’s forum carries the theme “Advancing Today, Securing Tomorrow”. As in previous years, JIF brings together various policy stakeholders, including the government, business players, innovators, and local and global investors.
The organisation of JIF is aimed at promoting various investment opportunities in Jakarta through the strategic projects of BUMD and BUMN in the capital.
