Jakarta Offers LRT Gading-JIS and Manggarai-Dukuh Atas Projects to Investors
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has begun offering LRT Jakarta development projects to prospective investors. Two corridors are on offer: LRT Jakarta Phase 2A (Kelapa Gading - JIS) spanning 8.2 kilometres, and LRT Jakarta Phase 1C (Manggarai - Dukuh Atas).
The LRT Jakarta Phase 2A project will connect with the existing Kelapa Gading-Velodrome-Manggarai LRT route. The 8.2 km line will pass through six stations: Kelapa Nias, Boulevard Gading, Sunter Timur, Gelanggang Remaja, Sunter Barat, and Danau Sunter Barat (Jakarta International Stadium). Ticket prices are estimated to range between Rp 10,000 and Rp 15,000 per passenger, with average daily ridership projected at 66,000 passengers. The project requires an investment of Rp 7.8 trillion, with an investment rate of return of 12.3 percent, a weighted average cost of capital of 12.3 percent, and a payback period of 14 years.
The LRT Jakarta Phase 1C project will connect with the Manggarai-Velodrome-Kelapa Gading LRT route. This 2.4 km corridor will penetrate the heart of the capital, terminating at Dukuh Atas. Dukuh Atas serves as a central integration station and transit point in Jakarta, offering connectivity to various transport modes including the MRT Jakarta, Airport Rail Link, KRL Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek, and TransJakarta. It will also be connected to a Transport Hub managed by PT MRT Jakarta. Ticket prices are estimated to range between Rp 10,000 and Rp 15,000 per passenger, with average daily ridership projected at 20,554 passengers. This project requires an investment of Rp 2.9 trillion, with an investment rate of return of 12.3 percent, a weighted average cost of capital of 12.3 percent, and a payback period of 17 years.
