Jakarta Odd-Even Vehicle Restriction Remains in Force Today, 16 March 2026: Check Schedule & Location

Jakarta’s provincial government has confirmed that the policy restricting vehicles under the odd-even number plate system (gage) remains in force today, Monday, 16 March 2026. Despite early indications of holiday travel for Eidulfitri 1447 H, the regulation continues to be enforced to reduce traffic congestion on several major roads.

Given that today’s date is an even-numbered day, only vehicles with number plates ending in EVEN digits are permitted to travel through restricted zones during designated hours.

*The regulation does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national public holidays.

Certain vehicle types are permitted to travel on odd-even restricted routes without being bound by number plate regulations, including:

Drivers who violate the regulation will face electronic traffic fines (ETLE) or manual citations issued by traffic police, with a maximum fine of 500,000 rupiah in accordance with Article 287 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

The Transportation Agency explained that the exemption from the odd-even restriction is based on a Joint Decree from the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 933 of 2025 and the Minister of Manpower Number 1 of 2025.
