Jakarta Military Commander Visits Metro Police to Celebrate 80th Bhayangkara Day
Jakarta Military Commander (Pangdam Jaya) Lt. Gen. Deddy Suryadi and his staff visited the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters today to provide a surprise celebration for the 80th Bhayangkara Day. Their arrival was welcomed by Metro Jaya Police Chief Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri, Deputy Chief Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono, and other key police officials. The visit served as a demonstration of the solidarity and synergy between the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) in safeguarding the capital.
“We extend our highest gratitude to the Pangdam Jaya and his staff for joining us in celebrating the 80th Bhayangkara Day. The presence of the Pangdam Jaya and his staff is a source of pride for us,” said Commissioner General Asep on Wednesday (1/7/2026).
Commissioner General Asep stated that the relationship between the Metro Jaya Police and the Jaya Military Command is closely knit, forming a large family that supports each other in carrying out their duties. Both institutions are committed to maintaining public security and order in the Jakarta area. “Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya are one family that supports and strengthens each other. In safeguarding the capital, we are very proud of this family-like atmosphere,” he said.
Commissioner General Asep reminded that future challenges will be increasingly complex. He stressed the importance of synergy between the TNI and Polri to jointly provide services to the community. “The tasks ahead are getting heavier, but we feel they are lighter because the Pangdam Jaya and his staff are always with us. This provides motivation for the Metro Jaya Police personnel to continue providing the best service to the community,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Military Commander Lt. Gen. Deddy Suryadi conveyed that TNI-Polri synergy is the key to facing various challenges. According to him, the task of maintaining security requires cooperation and support from all parties. “In line with the President’s message, we cannot work alone. From the beginning, our commitment has been clear: this task must be carried out together through strong synergy and cooperation,” he explained.
Lt. Gen. Deddy also expressed his appreciation to the Metro Jaya Police Chief and his staff for their continuous support of the Jaya Military Command’s duties in the Jakarta area. “Alhamdulillah, we have received excellent support and cooperation from the Metro Jaya Police Chief and Deputy Chief in carrying out our duties. God willing, this synergy will continue to be maintained so that our duties in the Jakarta area can be carried out safely and smoothly,” he concluded.
