Jakarta Metropolitan Police Arrest 3 Men in Tanah Abang, Seize 15.5 Kilograms of Marijuana

Jakarta - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police arrested three men with the initials RA (30), TB (25), and AW (33) in connection with narcotics at two locations. From the arrests, police seized a total of 15.5 kilograms of marijuana.

Unit 1 Chief of Subdirectorate 3, Jakarta Metropolitan Police Narcotics Directorate, AKP Arie, said the three were arrested on Friday (13/2). They were apprehended after police received a tip from the public.

“The three were arrested at two different locations, namely the Tanah Abang Station parking area in Central Jakarta and a rented house in Pamulang, South Tangerang,” Arie told reporters on Saturday (14/2/2026).

Arie said the initial arrest took place in Tanah Abang. Officers managed to seize 10 kilograms of marijuana. The narcotics evidence was stored by the suspects in a carry bag.

“Police found 10 kilograms of marijuana stored in a carry bag,” Arie explained.

From the initial arrest, police conducted further investigation. Officers then proceeded to a rented house believed to be one of the suspects’ residence.

“They then went to a rented house on Jalan H. Nasa Syamsudin, Kedaung, Pamulang, South Tangerang. At this second location, officers found an additional 5.507 kilograms of marijuana,” Arie said.

“Thus, the total marijuana evidence seized amounted to 15.507 kilograms,” he added.

The suspects and evidence have been taken to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Narcotics Directorate for further investigation.
