Jakarta men's bridge team wins

JAKARTA (JP): The men's bridge team prepared to represent
Jakarta at the 14th National Games (Sept. 9 to Sept. 20) won a
foursome open tournament which ended in Hotel Indonesia on
Sunday.

The team won with 80 International Match Points. It consisted
of seasoned players Hasyim Arief, Noldy George, Giovanni
Watulingas, Sance Panelewen and former stars Denny Sacul and
Ferdy Waluyan. Their opponents scored only 17 IMP, numbering
former national players Yasin Wijaya, Munawar Sawirudin, Ariwin
Susanto, Berce Polii, Harsudi and Amiruddin Yusuf.

In the women's division, the ladies Jakarta prepares for the
upcoming National Games fell 52-60 to Queen bridge club. The
tournament was held to commemorate the 117th anniversary of the
birth of R.A. Kartini, the heroine of women's emancipation. (arf)
