Jakarta Malls' Occupancy Holds Steady at 73% as 44 Brands Expand
JAKARTA — Modern retail markets in Jakarta are experiencing increasingly polarised performance at the start of 2026.
Colliers’ Q1 2026 Quarterly Property Market Report shows Jakarta’s mall occupancy rate holding steady at 73%. Despite this cumulative decline, 44 domestic and international brands are proceeding with expansion to secure new retail spaces in the capital.
Meanwhile, sportswear expansion is driven by rising urban health consciousness, prompting global brands to establish large-scale stores to showcase comprehensive product ranges.
