Jakarta Likely to Rain from Sunday Morning to Evening
Jakarta – Most parts of the Jakarta Special Capital Region are forecast to experience light rain on Sunday (8 March 2026). The forecast was issued by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). Quoted from the BMKG’s official site, the weather in several areas of Jakarta today is dominated by light rain with temperatures ranging from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius. The Thousand Islands Regency is predicted to experience thunderstorm rain with temperatures around 25–27 degrees Celsius and humidity of 79–87 percent.
Meanwhile, Central Jakarta is expected to experience light rain with temperatures of 24–28 degrees Celsius and humidity of 77–92 percent. The weather conditions may later change to cloudy with temperatures of 24–30 degrees Celsius. In North Jakarta, light rain is forecast to fall with temperatures 24–27 degrees Celsius and humidity 80–90 percent. Subsequently, the weather is expected to become cloudy with temperatures of 24–28 degrees Celsius. The same conditions are also forecast for West Jakarta. BMKG predicts light rain with temperatures of 24–28 degrees Celsius and humidity 76–93 percent, followed by a transition to cloudy with temperatures of 24–30 degrees Celsius. The air temperature in these two areas ranges from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius with humidity levels reaching 67–95 percent.
BMKG also forecasts that Jakarta’s weather on Monday (9 March 2026) will still be dominated by light rain in several areas. The air temperature is expected to range from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius with relatively high humidity. BMKG urges the public to remain vigilant for sudden rain, particularly in the afternoon to evening.
