Jakarta Library Operating Hours During Ramadan 2026

The Cikini Library (comprising the Jakarta Library and the H.B. Jassin Literary Documentation Centre) will remain open throughout Ramadan 2026, with adjusted operating hours during the fasting month.

According to the official Instagram account @perpusjkt, the Jakarta Library’s operating hours during Ramadan 2026 are as follows:

• Monday to Sunday (open daily): 09:00–17:00 WIB

How to Reach the Jakarta Library by KRL, MRT, and Transjakarta

The Jakarta Library is located within the Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) complex in Cikini, Central Jakarta. Below are directions for reaching the library using various modes of public transport.

1. By KRL Commuter Line

The nearest KRL station to the Taman Ismail Marzuki area is Cikini Station, approximately two kilometres away. Passengers travelling from Bogor or Depok should board a train bound for Jakarta Kota Station and alight at Cikini Station. Those departing from Tangerang should first transfer at Duri Station, then take a train to Manggarai Station before continuing on a Jakarta Kota-bound service and alighting at Cikini Station. From Cikini Station to Taman Ismail Marzuki, the walk takes approximately 15 minutes, or around four minutes by ride-hailing motorcycle.

2. By MRT

The nearest MRT station to the Taman Ismail Marzuki area is Bundaran HI Station, approximately 2.7 kilometres away. Passengers should alight at Bundaran HI Station and continue the journey by ride-hailing motorcycle, which takes roughly eight minutes.

3. By Transjakarta

The Transjakarta routes serving the Taman Ismail Marzuki area are Corridor 5H (Kampung Melayu–Tanah Abang) and Corridor 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus). Passengers from East Jakarta may take Corridor 5H, whilst those from Central Jakarta may take Corridor 6H. Passengers from West Jakarta should take Corridor 2B (Kalideres–Pulogadung), transfer at the Senen Transjakarta stop, then board Corridor 6H. From North Jakarta, passengers may board at Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, alight at Pasar Senen stop, and continue on Corridor 6H. From South Jakarta, passengers may take Corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti–Pluit), alight at Kuningan Barat stop, transfer to Kuningan Timur stop, and board Corridor 6H.
