JAKARTA (JP): Share trading remained sluggish yesterday with share prices mostly losing ground in moderate trading.
The broad-based Composite Index lost another 4.5 points to close at 463.43 from 467.97 on Thursday.
The narrower-based GTDBS-50 Index also continued falling to close at 109.49 from 111.12.
Securities brokers said the buying mood remained weak as foreign investors remained on the sidelines while local investors were still focusing their attention on a number of new issues on the primary market.
Top losers included Aqua (-Rp 500), Bank Internasional Indonesia (-Rp 200), Citra Tubindo (-Rp 2,100), Duta Pertiwi (-Rp 600), Fast Food (-Rp 500), Indocement (-Rp 800), Kalbe Farma (-Rp 200), Ometraco Finance (-Rp 275), Polysindo (-Rp 300), Petrosea (-Rp 800), Roda Vivatex (-Rp 500) and United Tractor (-Rp 800).
Top Gainers were Asuransi Ramayana (+Rp 600), Gajah Surya (+Rp 200), Hotel Prapatan (+Rp 450) and Modern Photo (-Rp 250).
Trading volume increased to 15.42 million shares worth Rp 85.42 billion (US$40.67 million) yesterday from 10.9 million shares worth Rp 63.34 billion on Thursday. (hen)
