JAKARTA (JP): Share prices continued closing higher on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) here yesterday with most issues gaining ground in light trading.
The broad-based JSX Composite Index closed at 458.93, more than five points higher than Wednesday's 453.37.
The narrower-based GTDBS-50 Index also closed higher at 107.74 from 106.62.
Shares with significant increases were Gudang Garam (up Rp 350), Bakrie Sumatra Plantation (up Rp 325), Indosat (up Rp 275), Perdanacipta (up Rp 225) and Sampoerna, Mayora, Medco and Darya Varia (up Rp 200 each).
Losers included Pudjiadi (down Rp 300) and Bank Tiara Asia (down Rp 250).
Trading volume was recorded at 27.66 million shares valued at Rp 108.43 billion.
Of the total trading volume, 15.5 million shares changed hands at Rp 59.34 billion on the regular market, 10.64 million shares at Rp 41.61 billion on the cross trading board, 1.49 million shares at Rp 7.4 billion on the foreign trading board and 10,000 shares at Rp 74 billion on the cash trading board.
The bloc sale and odd lot trading boards recorded no transactions. (icn)
