Jakarta’s investment realisation reached IDR 173.6 trillion, or 17.2 percent of the national total, in the first semester of 2026, making it the largest among all Indonesian provinces. According to data from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the figure consists of Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN) worth IDR 106.5 trillion and Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) valued at IDR 67.1 trillion. “This achievement shows that Jakarta remains the primary investment destination in Indonesia,” said Heru Hermawanto, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), in an official statement received on Thursday. Heru stated that rising investor confidence is the result of synergy among various parties in creating a conducive business climate, supported by the DKI Provincial Government’s policy direction that prioritises ease of investment and public services. The DKI Jakarta DPMPTSP continues to undertake various efforts to maintain its position as the largest investment destination in Indonesia. These measures include optimising the Public Service Mall (MPP), accelerating the digitalisation of licensing and non-licensing services, providing proactive outreach to business actors, and strengthening integrated investment assistance. Additionally, the DKI Jakarta DPMPTSP is bolstering data-based investment promotion strategies through the development of an investment potential map and the preparation of Investment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO) packages. “We ensure that the investment opportunities offered have technical, financial, and market readiness, so that investors gain greater certainty in making investment decisions in Jakarta,” Heru said.
