Jakarta Information Commission opens consultation clinic for SAQ E-Monev completion
The Jakarta Information Commission (KI DKI) is assisting public bodies in preparing documents and data to support the successful completion of the Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) in the 2026 Public Information Openness E-Monev.
Agus Wijayanto, Commissioner for Information Dispute Resolution at KI DKI Jakarta, said the assistance focuses on understanding the substance of the SAQ questions as well as the readiness of supporting documents and data as a follow-up to KI DKI Jakarta’s recommendations.
“This coaching clinic aims to assist public bodies in preparing SAQ E-Monev supporting documents and data based on the recommendations provided by KI DKI Jakarta. So, it is not just about answering, but every answer must be verifiable,” said Agus.
This was conveyed during the “Coaching Clinic for the Preparation of the 2026 Public Information Openness E-Monev” organised by the Jakarta Provincial Information Commission through expert assistance, in Jakarta on Friday.
The activity was attended by sub-district level public bodies, namely Menteng Dalam and Pondok Labu sub-districts in South Jakarta.
According to Agus, the completeness and suitability of supporting data are important to describe the actual condition of information openness management in public bodies.
“Therefore, recommendations from the evaluation results need to be followed up in a measurable and documented manner,” said Agus.
During the assistance, KI DKI Jakarta experts provided a consultation space for public bodies to identify documents that are not yet available, understand the intent of the SAQ questions, and ensure that the data and information prepared meet the needs of the E-Monev.
“E-Monev should not be viewed merely as an assessment. This is a momentum to improve information governance so that the public can more easily obtain the information they need,” said Agus.
He added that strengthening information openness at the sub-district level has strategic significance because sub-districts are one of the front lines of government services that interact directly with the community.
Meanwhile, Saiman, Secretary of Menteng Dalam Sub-district, revealed that there are still a number of questions in the SAQ that were previously not understood, especially regarding the intent of the questions and the data and information that need to be prepared as supporting evidence.
“Through this coaching clinic, we gained new insights regarding several question items that were previously confusing. This is very helpful for us so that the SAQ completion can be carried out more accurately,” said Saiman.
According to Saiman, the assistance also provides a continuous consultation space during the SAQ completion process, including with the person in charge (PIC) who accompanies the implementation of the E-Monev.
