Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office Names Private Company Boss as Suspect in Public Works Ministry Routine Spending Case
The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has named a new suspect in the alleged corruption case surrounding routine procurement spending at the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Cipta Karya, Ministry of Public Works, during the 2023–2024 period.
Head of Legal Information at the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, Dapot Dariarma, said the new suspect is JND, director of PT Asaykhana.
In addition, JND is recorded as the controlling party of several other companies, namely CV Nalisa Destia, CV Mila Kirana, CV Raflindo Pratama, PT Atrindo Prima Persada, CV Nursa Lima, CV Zafran Karya Utama, CV Azio Osaka and CV Ardian Permata Indah.
“The Jakarta Special Capital Region High Prosecutor’s Office has named JND as a suspect,” he said in a written statement on Wednesday (8/7).
Based on his role, Dapot said JND, together with other perpetrators, engineered fictitious projects at the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Cipta Karya.
The project manipulation occurred during the 2023–2024 period. The practices of JND and the other suspects are alleged to have caused losses to state funds amounting to Rp16 billion.
“Together with the other suspects, he engineered fictitious projects at the Secretariat General of Cipta Karya during 2023 and 2024, causing state losses of at least more than Rp16 billion,” he explained.
For his actions, JND is suspected of violating Article 603 or Article 604 in conjunction with Article 20 letter c and Article 126 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption.
“The suspect has been detained since Monday, 6 June 2026 for the next twenty days, during which he will be held at the Cipinang Class I State Detention Centre,” said Dapot.
Previously, the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office had named six suspects in the alleged corruption case within the Ministry of Public Works.
They include the Director General of Water Resources at the Ministry of Public Works, Dwi Purwantoro, and YRW, former Acting Director of Irrigation and Swamps at the Directorate General of Water Resources from July 2025 to January 2026.
Both were named suspects in an alleged corruption case involving extortion, bribery, gratuities and/or abuse of authority in several projects at the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of Public Works.
In addition, RS, who served as Secretary of the Directorate General of Cipta Karya, AS as Procurement Commitment Officer (PPK), RW as director of CV TAS/service provider at the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Cipta Karya, and JSR as director of PT BKS were also named.
