Jakarta health posts open blood pressure and blood sugar screening services during Eid season
Jakarta — The Jakarta Provincial Government has opened health screening posts at 12 locations across terminals, stations, and ports during the Eid holiday travel season, providing services including blood pressure checks, random blood sugar tests, and lung cancer screening.
“The health examinations available at the health posts include driver health checks, vehicle fitness assessments, and staff are prepared to assist travellers experiencing health problems,” said Debi Intan Suri, Acting Head of Health Services at the Jakarta Health Department, when contacted in Jakarta on Saturday.
The health screening also covers self-screening for smoking habits, physical activity levels, tuberculosis, mental health, liver health, cancer risk factors, nutritional status, hypertension, diabetes, skin conditions, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and lung cancer.
Additionally, weight and height measurements, waist circumference, counselling and health education, drug and alcohol screening, and respiratory checks (vehicle fitness assessment) are available.
“The health posts will operate from 13 March until 30 March 2026,” Debi stated.
The health posts are distributed across Jakarta, comprising seven bus terminals, three stations, and two ports/wharfs during the 2026 Eid holiday travel period.
Specifically, the locations are: Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Pulo Gebang Terminal, Kalideres Terminal, Tanjung Priok Terminal, Grogol Terminal, Lebak Bulus Terminal, and Muara Angke Terminal; Pasar Senen Station, Gambir Station, and Jakarta Kota Station; and Kali Adem Port and Muara Angke Port.
Beyond terminals, wharfs, and stations, health posts are also located at several tourist sites in Jakarta, including the National Monument, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Ragunan Zoo, the Old Town tourist area, and the Seribu Islands.
