Jakarta Halal Bihalal on 11 April 2026 at Kota Tua: Event Details
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), will organise a Halal Bihalal event on Saturday, 11 April 2026. The activity will take place at Taman Fatahillah, Kota Tua, Jakarta.
Head of Disparekraf DKI Jakarta, Andhika Permata, stated that the event is designed to bring residents together to strengthen social ties and facilitate direct communication between the government and the community in public spaces.
“We want to convey the message that every resident, from Gen Z to previous generations, has an equal place in building the narrative of Jakarta city,” said Andhika in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday (9/4/2026), as reported by Antara.
Jakarta Halal Bihalal Event Programme
The Jakarta Halal Bihalal event is designed by combining the tradition of silaturahmi with modern technological touches, such as video mapping. This concept is presented to celebrate togetherness while affirming Jakarta’s identity as a global city that upholds harmony.
The Jakarta Halal Bihalal event will begin with an interfaith prayer involving religious leaders. This joint prayer is intended to pray for the harmony of Indonesian society, particularly in DKI Jakarta, to be continuously maintained.
In addition to serving as a gathering for silaturahmi, the event will also be used to showcase the potential of Jakarta’s tourism and creative economy sectors. The use of the historic architecture at Taman Fatahillah as a digital canvas through video mapping performances symbolises respect for the city’s history as well as innovation in presenting tourist attractions.
The event also provides space for young talents to express themselves through light installations, art performances, and musical performances by the Purwacaraka Orchestra. “This initiative proves that Jakarta’s public spaces can become a driving force for creativity that unites historical values with the joy of modern entertainment for residents and tourists alike,” Andhika explained.
