Jakarta Guarantees Objective and Transparent New Student Admission System

The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) has ensured that the implementation of the 2026/2027 Academic Year Student Admission System (SPMB) will be carried out objectively, transparently, accountably, and without discrimination.

“The entire process can be accessed openly by the public, and the selection results can be accounted for in accordance with applicable regulations. Furthermore, there will be no distinction based on ethnicity, race, gender, socio-economic status, or background,” said the Deputy Head of the Jakarta Education Office, Sarjoko, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He stated that all stages of the SPMB will be conducted online to ensure the admission process is effective, transparent, and easily accessible to the public.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Education, Socialisation, and Advocacy of the Jakarta Information Commission (KI), Ferid Nugroho, said that the KI Jakarta will oversee the implementation of the 2026/2027 Academic Year SPMB to ensure it is transparent, accountable, objective, and fair through the strengthening of public information disclosure.

According to Ferid, information transparency is one of the key factors in supporting the success of the 2026/2027 Academic Year SPMB.

He added that the SPMB is a public service involving the interests of the wider community. Therefore, all information regarding registration mechanisms, selection tracks, requirements, quotas, stages, and selection results must be available openly and easily accessible to the public.
