Jakarta Governor Orders Mayors to Intensify Community Outreach to Curb Street Brawls
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has instructed all mayors across each of Jakarta’s districts to continue engaging with residents and students to prevent street brawls in the capital.
“I ask the relevant officials, especially the local mayors, to take an approach so that brawls can gradually be reduced,” said Pramono in the Cawang area of East Jakarta on Friday.
Separately, he said the Jakarta Provincial Government is also continuing to build facilities that residents can use to steer clear of brawls, such as places to play football, skateboard, or box.
Nevertheless, Pramono acknowledged that street brawls still frequently occur in the capital.
For this reason, he has asked all mayors to continue building facilities and engaging with residents.
