Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has estimated that the number of migrants arriving in the city after Lebaran this year will be approximately 10,000 to 12,000 people.

“So, based on the data available up to today, we estimate there will be an increase in returnees joining their families in Jakarta of around 10,000 to 12,000,” Pramono explained in Central Jakarta on Friday.

Nevertheless, Pramono stated that the data is not yet final. His team will continue to monitor developments.

Despite this, Pramono said that based on the current data, it can be concluded that the number of arrivals in Jakarta will be 10,000 to 12,000 people.

“Why can we conclude this? From trends in vehicle bookings or those travelling with families and so on,” Pramono said.

He also reminded prospective migrants seeking their fortune in the capital to prepare themselves well and have work skills.

“Jakarta has no justicia operations, but naturally, anyone wanting to seek a livelihood working in Jakarta must prepare themselves,” Pramono stated.

Meanwhile, according to data received by ANTARA, the number of migrants on 25-26 March 2026 was 365 people, consisting of 186 males and 179 females.
