Jakarta Government Prepares Two Training Fields for FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has confirmed its full support for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, which will be held in Indonesia from 21 September to 6 October. Governor Pramono Anung stated that the administration is ready to ensure Jakarta plays a part in the success of the official FIFA tournament. As a concrete form of support, the government is offering two fields as training facilities for participating teams: Soemantri Brodjonegoro Field and Banteng Field. The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) was initially considered but was ruled out due to a scheduling conflict with a concert during the same period. The provincial government is also open to renovating the two fields to meet the teams’ training requirements. Beyond providing facilities, the administration will support the promotion of the tournament through public spaces under its management to ensure the event runs smoothly.
