Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) and Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) have prepared personnel and supporting facilities to ensure the smooth running of the BTN Jakarta International Marathon (Jakim) 2026 on 13–14 June 2026.

“Our officers are not only tasked with managing traffic, but also ensuring that the public can continue their activities comfortably,” said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, in a statement on Friday.

Budi stated that the readiness of personnel in the field is a form of service so that the mobility of residents and marathon participants can proceed well together. To this end, his agency is deploying 1,149 personnel over the two days of the event. This figure comprises 1,080 traffic management officers, 48 tow truck personnel, 6 Variable Message Sign (VMS) vehicle personnel, and 15 traffic infrastructure personnel.

In detail, on Saturday (13/6), Dishub will station 310 personnel at 73 points, whilst on Sunday (14/6), 770 personnel will be deployed at 196 points along the race route and surrounding support areas. In addition to personnel, Dishub has also prepared 1,200 water barriers, 24 tow trucks, 3 VMS vehicles, 3 skylift vehicles, and 15 escort vehicles to support traffic management and mobility during the event.

Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP is deploying 1,435 personnel stationed at 708 guard points over the two days. These personnel will assist in securing the race area, maintaining public order, and supporting the smooth mobility of residents around the event locations.

Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan, confirmed that all personnel are on standby to support the event’s success. “We ensure that all Satpol PP personnel are ready to maintain order and provide a sense of security for both the public and participants. Synergy among all elements in the field is key to ensuring this event proceeds in an orderly and smooth manner,” said Satriadi.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has urged the public to adjust their travel times, use public transport where possible, and comply with the directions of officers in the field during the BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2026.
