Jakarta Garden City begins road repairs during dry season

The management of Jakarta Garden City has begun comprehensive road repairs at several points along the estate’s boulevards. The work is being carried out in stages using a contraflow and diversion scheme to maintain smooth mobility for residents, tenants, and the public active in the area. The road repairs include concreting, resurfacing, repairing damaged road surfaces, improving drainage at specific points, and maintaining supporting infrastructure. Management stated the work is being done in stages while considering the safety aspects of road users. Head Town Management Residential & Commercial Jakarta Garden City, Irwan, said the repairs were undertaken after the condition of the roads at several points had become a concern for various parties recently. “We understand that the condition of the roads at several points has been a concern for various parties recently. Therefore, management is taking concrete steps through a road repair and quality improvement programme as part of a long-term commitment to continuously improve the quality of the Jakarta Garden City environment,” Irwan said on Sunday (4/7). According to him, the road repair programme had been planned since the end of 2025. However, high rainfall from January to April 2026 meant comprehensive repairs could not be carried out optimally. During that period, management claimed to have carried out temporary repairs to maintain the safety and comfort of road users. Once conditions allowed, repairs were continued more comprehensively and sustainably. He stated that road quality is an important aspect in supporting smooth mobility within the estate. Good road infrastructure is also considered to affect residents’ comfort, commercial activities, and the overall quality of estate management. In addition to road repairs, Jakarta Garden City also stated it continues to run environmental maintenance, greening, area cleanliness, and public facility improvement programmes. Management has asked residents, tenants, and road users to adjust their journeys while the work is ongoing. Further evaluation and repairs will continue to be carried out to ensure the area remains safe and comfortable to use.
