Jakarta Garden City begins road repairs during dry season

The management of Jakarta Garden City has begun conducting thorough road repairs at several points across the area’s boulevards. The work is being carried out in stages using a partial lane closure and diversion scheme to ensure the continued mobility of residents, tenants, and the public active within the area.

These road repairs encompass concreting, re-asphalting, repairing damaged road surfaces, upgrading drainage at specific points, and maintaining supporting infrastructure. Management stated that the work is being performed gradually, taking into account the safety of road users.

Irwan, Head of Town Management for Residential & Commercial at Jakarta Garden City, stated that the repairs were initiated after road conditions at several locations had become a concern for various parties recently.

“We understand that the condition of the roads at several points has been a concern for various parties in recent times. Therefore, management is taking concrete steps through a road repair and quality improvement programme as part of our long-term commitment to continuously enhance the quality of the Jakarta Garden City environment,” said Irwan on Sunday (4/7).

According to him, the road repair programme had been planned since late 2025. However, high rainfall levels between January and April 2026 prevented comprehensive repairs from being carried out optimally.

During that period, management claimed to have implemented temporary repairs to maintain the safety and comfort of road users. Now that conditions permit, repairs are proceeding more comprehensively and sustainably.

He stated that road quality is a vital aspect of supporting mobility within the area. Good road infrastructure is also considered to influence the comfort of residents, commercial activities, and the overall quality of area management.

In addition to road repairs, Jakarta Garden and City also noted that they continue to run environmental maintenance programmes, including greening, area cleanliness, and the improvement of public facilities.

Management has requested that residents, tenants, and road users adjust their travel plans while the work is ongoing. Further evaluations and subsequent repairs will continue to be conducted to ensure the area remains safe and comfortable for use.
