Jakarta — The range of weekend family destinations in Jakarta has expanded, with Tamini Square officially launching FruitCity Park, a themed children’s playground claimed to be one of the largest in the East Jakarta area.

Located on the Lower Ground floor, FruitCity Park occupies a space of more than 5,000 square metres. The expansive area allows children to move freely, run about, and explore various attractions without feeling crowded — a factor often weighing heavily on parents’ minds when selecting indoor playgrounds.

Adopting a play space concept that goes beyond mere entertainment, FruitCity Park is designed to support children’s growth and development through physical activity and exploration. The facility features a range of attractions including ball pits, trampolines, go-karts, and a rainbow slide that has become one of the most popular areas owing to its colourful appearance.

Beyond the play equipment, the spatial layout has been designed with family comfort in mind. Companion seating areas are strategically positioned so that parents can supervise their children with ease. All attractions use child-friendly materials and prioritise safety standards, allowing children to play freely whilst parents remain at ease.

The cheerful thematic concept serves as a distinctive draw. Bright colours and attractive designs create a pleasant atmosphere, making the play experience feel more immersive. Children aged three to seventeen can enjoy the facilities, whilst accompanying adults are permitted inside the play area.

FruitCity Park operates daily. On weekdays, operating hours run from 10:00 to 21:00 Western Indonesian Time, whilst at weekends the venue remains open until 22:00. The play system allows children to enjoy attractions without rigid session limits, giving families the flexibility to spend as long as they wish.

Tamini Square mall director Eddy Muhammad Ikhsan explained that the introduction of the play area forms part of the shopping centre’s conceptual transformation.

“The arrival of FruitCity Park represents one step in the phased reconceptualisation we are undertaking at Tamini Square, expanding the presence of entertainment category tenants, as this segment is considered capable of delivering a stronger experience for visitors whilst tapping into new market segments, particularly families and the younger generation,” said Eddy in a statement quoted on Friday, 20 February 2026.
