Jakarta floods affect 17 Transjakarta routes
Jakarta (ANTARA) – As many as 17 Transjakarta service routes, comprising Mikrotrans, integrated transport and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), were affected by floods at several points in Jakarta, resulting in diversions and shortened journeys on Sunday morning.
“In relation to heavy rainfall that caused surface water at several points, we are making operational adjustments on Sunday morning for the safety and comfort of all,” said Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR of Transjakarta, in Jakarta on Sunday.
The services that were adjusted include Corridor 2A (Pulogadung 1 - Rawa Nangka, the route shortened to Damai due to flooding on Corridor 3 at the Pulo Nangka segment).
Corridor 3 (Kalideres - Monas), the route shortened to Damai – Monas (bidirectional) due to waterlogging and a collapsed road barrier (MCB).
Next, Corridor 6 (Ragunan - Galunggung), the route diverted because of flooding around the Mampang underpass.
Corridor 13E (Puribeta - Kuningan), diverted to use the upper route due to flooding at the Mampang underpass.
For Mikrotrans services, 10 routes were adjusted, namely JAK.04 (Grogol - Jembatan Dua) and JAK.30 (Meruya - Citraland) ceased operations due to floods at crucial track points.
Then JAK.85 (Bintara - Cipinang Indah) route shortened because of 25-35 cm of standing water on Jl. Komplek Cipinang Indah II.
Routes JAK.108 (Kramat Jati - Bambu Apus), JAK.37 (Cililitan - Condet), JAK.53 (Grogol - Pos Pengumben), JAK.71 (Kampung Rambutan - Pinang Ranti), JAK.75 (Kampung Pulo - Cililitan), JAK.78A (Benda - Penjaringan), and JAK.93 (Jeruk Purut - Kebayoran Lama) were also diverted.
Non-BRT 3E: Sentraland Cengkareng - Puri Kembangan, temporarily halted due to water on Simpang Kapuk.
Ayu also said they apologise for the travel inconvenience experienced by all passengers.
“We urge customers to remain cautious and adjust travel plans by regularly monitoring route developments via the TJ: Transjakarta app or other official social media channels,” she said.
