Jakarta Female Police Officers Provide Aid and Trauma Healing to Kemayoran Fire Victims

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Reynold EP Hutagalung, stated that the police presence at the fire site is a form of care and a rapid response to assist the community during this disaster. “We are here to provide support to the residents affected by the fire. While this aid may not resolve all issues, we hope it can lighten the burden on the community, especially for the children and families currently in evacuation centres,” said Kombes Reynold on Tuesday (2/6/2026).

The social activity, which commenced at 11:00 WIB, was led by Central Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Eko Yuliyanto. The operation involved various units, including the Brimob Satuan (Special Police) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, the Medical and Health Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, the Kemayoran Sector Police, and the Jakarta Jaga Female Police officers from the Kemayoran and Johar Baru districts.

During the activity, the Jakarta Jaga Female Police officers distributed aid including mineral water, baby nappies, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals. A total of 300 lunch portions from the Brimob field kitchen, supported by the Central Jakarta Metro Police, were also distributed to the affected residents.

In addition to distributing aid, the Jakarta Jaga Female Police officers provided trauma healing assistance for children and residents impacted by the fire. This initiative aims to help restore the psychological well-being of the community, particularly children, following the traumatic event.

Kombes Reynold emphasised that the Central Jakarta Metro Police will continue to coordinate with relevant parties to assist in the management of affected residents. He also expressed appreciation for the synergy of all personnel involved in this humanitarian effort.

“The National Police are present not only in terms of security but also in humanitarian service. We want to ensure that citizens feel cared for, supported, and not alone in facing this disaster,” he said.

The police also urged the public to remain vigilant against potential fire risks, especially in densely populated areas, and to immediately report any conditions endangering public safety to the police or the 110 emergency service.
