Jakarta Fair Becomes an Educational Platform for Paylater Usage
The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026 is not only an annual shopping event but is also being utilised by financial industry players to educate the public on the wise use of digital financing services (paylater). This step is considered important given the public’s increasingly broad access to digital financial services.
Director of PT Commerce Finance, Winson Winata, said that SPayLater’s first-time participation in the Jakarta Fair aims not only to introduce digital financing services but also to enhance public understanding of responsible financing. “Through our inaugural participation this year, we hope to help the public better understand the benefits of using financing solutions wisely to support various daily needs,” Winson said in a statement on Tuesday (14/7/2026).
According to the 2025 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) released by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia’s financial inclusion index has reached 80.51 percent. This increased access to financial services has also driven the growth of digital financing services in Indonesia.
Director of PT Commerce Finance, Anggie Setia Ariningsih, said that digital financing services are playing an increasingly important role in expanding public access to financial solutions. However, she noted that this growth must be balanced with education, transparency, and consumer protection. “Digital financing services have an increasingly important role in expanding access to easy, safe, and responsible financial solutions,” Anggie said.
She reminded the public to ensure that the paylater services they use are licensed and supervised by the OJK, to understand the fees and financing terms, to maintain the security of personal data, and to use financing facilities according to their repayment capacity. According to her, these steps are important so that the benefits of digital financing can be enjoyed without causing financial risks in the future.
During the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026, the SPayLater service can be used at various tenants across categories including electronics, fashion, food and beverages, household appliances, and motor vehicles. The company is also presenting a booth that provides information on digital financing services and various educational activities for visitors.
