Jakarta Fair 2026 Draws 1.5 Million Visitors in First Week
The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026 has recorded an impressive performance this year. As a central part of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary celebrations, Southeast Asia’s largest exhibition has been visited by more than 1.5 million people in just the first week. Organiser data shows the average daily attendance reached nearly 200,000 people. DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto assessed that this high level of enthusiasm is a positive signal for regional and national economic growth. “Looking at the current condition of the Jakarta Fair, the national economic movement, particularly in Jakarta, shows very good development,” Uus Kuswanto said in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday (21/6/2026). Uus emphasised that the Jakarta Fair is not merely an entertainment event, but a tangible indicator that DKI Jakarta’s economic condition is sound and stable. Since it was first held in 1968, JFK has transformed into a strategic space for business actors to market superior products while maintaining market optimism. Historically, this annual exhibition has consistently been present for residents, only being cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides being a promotional space, the event plays a major role in strengthening the competitiveness of national products amid global competition. Uus added that the spirit of collaboration within JFK 2026 and DKI Jakarta’s anniversary forms an important foundation towards Jakarta’s five-century milestone in 2027. “This spirit is expected to strengthen Jakarta’s steps as a global city that is advanced, proud, and brings happiness to its citizens,” he added. Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung set an ambitious target for this year’s event. Pramono is targeting a transaction value at JIEXPO Kemayoran exceeding IDR 8 trillion. This target is set higher than last year’s achievement, which recorded transactions of IDR 7.3 trillion. With the visitor trend already reaching 1.5 million people in the first week, authorities are optimistic about achieving the economic and visitor volume targets before the exhibition closes.
