Jakarta East City Government Holds Morning Exercise Despite ASN Working from Home Every Friday

Civil servants (ASN) in the Jakarta East City Government administration carried out morning exercise despite the work-from-home (WFH) policy on Friday (10/4/2026). Based on observations by Kompas.com, the sports activity took place at the Jakarta East Mayor’s Office field from early morning. Hundreds of ASN from various areas in Jakarta East attended, including Jakarta East Mayor Munjirin and the Heads of Sub-District Services (Kasudin). After the exercise, Munjirin provided guidance to the ASN regarding the mechanisms for handling public complaints and the implementation of WFH. “Today is indeed the routine Friday activity, holding exercise for ASN. But for this time, all ASN from the village level, sub-district, city, and sub-services who are not taking WFH,” said Munjirin when met at his office on Thursday. At the Jakarta East Mayor’s Office, 68 ASN are carrying out WFH in accordance with the applicable provisions. “For sub-districts and villages as well as city officials themselves, they are all included in those exempted from WFH,” he added.
