Jakarta DPRD Visits, Gianyar Regent Showcases Development Achievements

The Jakarta Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) held a working visit to Gianyar. Gianyar Regent I Made Mahayastra immediately showcased the development achievements from his tenure. “I presented the development progress in Gianyar Regency since my first term,” said Mahayastra in his statement on Thursday (7/5/2026). Mahayastra stated that the discussed developments related to government governance, regional development, and the enhancement of each area’s potential. One of them was the strategy plan to increase Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) through the implementation of applications. That plan was claimed to have successfully increased PAD to around Rp 600 billion. Then, regarding the loan from the National Economic Recovery Fund (PEN) through PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) to accelerate regional infrastructure development in 2019. “I completed the construction of Gianyar Town Square, Sanjiwani Hospital, and Payangan Hospital,” said Mahayastra. Mahayastra said that Gianyar became the area with the smallest economic decline during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was based on the results of an economic survey in Bali. All regional apparatus organisations (OPD) in Gianyar were required to use a digital application system for public services and government administration. That effort was carried out to support efficiency and transparency in government governance. The Head of the Jakarta DKI DPRD Delegation, Yuke Yurike, appreciated the development in Gianyar. Yuke said that the innovations and bold development programmes in Gianyar were deemed capable of bringing positive changes to the community. “We came initially to learn one or two things, but it turned out we gained many valuable lessons and experiences,” said Yuke.
