Jakarta Deputy Governor Claims Economic Turnover at Bundaran HI Reaches IDR 2 Trillion During Anniversary Peak

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno stated that economic turnover in the Bundaran HI area exceeded IDR 2 trillion on Saturday evening. Rano said the turnover was influenced by the peak celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary held at the location.

“Perhaps you do not know, Desta, tonight the economic turnover around HI is more than IDR 2 trillion. Seriously, you can check, all the hotels are full. I do not know where people are sleeping. Maybe in the garage, I do not know. But it means all the hotels are full,” Rano said.

Rano explained that the event had caused an increase in economic turnover in the area. He noted that the number of tourists visiting Jakarta had also increased as a result of the activities held there.

Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung added that transactions during the previous Ramadan and Idul Fitri celebrations exceeded IDR 75 trillion. He said the celebrations held in the HI area contributed to this figure. “Hopefully, this will keep Jakarta’s economy stable amid global economic pressures, and we can continue to provide food subsidies for the community,” Pramono said.

The peak celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary was held at the Bundaran HI area in Central Jakarta on Saturday evening, featuring performances by a number of singers.
