A private school in the Pondok Pinang area of Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, has implemented a full distance learning (PJJ) system for one week following the discovery of 995 firearms on the school grounds. The foundation’s legal counsel, Hermawan, stated on Sunday that the school would conduct total PJJ for a week to ensure the safety and security of the students.

In North Jakarta, the Pademangan Police Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested four suspects for damaging a telecommunications network on Jalan Pademangan Timur Gang Melati. The four suspects, identified by their initials as AS (22), NN (24), MR (23), and SM (23), were apprehended hours after the incident on Friday night. Police are still pursuing two other suspects, identified as B and BR, who allegedly ordered the four perpetrators to carry out the vandalism, which reportedly stemmed from business competition.

Separately, North Jakarta Administrative City Secretary Iyan Sopian Hadi emphasised that preventing street brawls, which have become rampant in the region and have resulted in injuries and fatalities, requires commitment and involvement from all parties. He noted that preventing such violence cannot be done partially and necessitates the participation of government elements, security forces, community leaders, and residents.
