Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several criminal and security incidents occurred in the DKI Jakarta area on Thursday (18/6), ranging from Polda Metro Jaya securing 69 perpetrators of a riot during the execution of state land at the former Hotel Sultan, to actress Davina Karamoy responding to a Polda Metro Jaya summons regarding an alleged fraud case involving Hanania Group.
Police secure 69 people involved in riots during ex-Hotel Sultan land execution
Polda Metro Jaya secured 69 perpetrators of a riot who obstructed the execution of state-owned assets on Block 15 in the former Hotel Sultan area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday. The incident was marked by throwing actions that resulted in 29 people sustaining injuries.
“As a result of this action, officers secured 69 people suspected of trying to obstruct the execution process, and this number may increase,” said Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto in Jakarta on Thursday.
Police examine school bus driver following death of SMAN 6 student
Police are examining the driver of a school bus following an accident that killed a tenth-grade student from SMA Negeri 6, with the initials NAEP. The student died after falling from a motorbike that got caught on a cable and was run over on Jalan Lauser, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday morning.
“The car driver has been examined,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Head, Police Senior Inspector Joko Adi, to reporters in Jakarta on Thursday.
Mall security guard in Tambora steals groceries worth Rp70 million for online gambling
A mall security guard with the initial I (44) in the Tambora area, West Jakarta, repeatedly stole groceries from his workplace, with total losses reaching Rp70 million.
Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Police Senior Inspector Sudrajat Djumantara, stated that the stolen groceries were resold, and the proceeds were used to meet family needs and for online gambling.
Police nab fabric thief in Tambora, West Jakarta
Police arrested a young man with the initials WA (23) suspected of stealing two rolls of fabric from a house in the Duri Selatan area, Tambora, West Jakarta.
The perpetrator, originally from Kalianyar, was apprehended shortly after attempting to flee from pursuing residents and police officers who were patrolling around the location.
Davina Karamoy examined as witness in Hanania fraud case
Actress Davina Karamoy complied with a summons from Polda Metro Jaya to provide testimony as a witness in the alleged fraud case involving Umrah travel agency Hanania Group.
“Our client cooperated in fulfilling the investigator’s summons to be a witness in the case that occurred at Hanania. Earlier, there were about 30 questions asked regarding our client’s role, who was invited to do an endorsement,” said Davina’s legal counsel, Julius Irawansyah, at Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday.
