Jakarta Creative Festival records Rp55 billion in transactions
The Jakarta Creative Festival (JKF) 2026, held on 4-5 July 2026 at Istora Senayan, recorded total transactions reaching Rp55 billion, including business matching for financing and exports by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Additionally, through the Indonesian Intermediation Acceleration Programme (PINISI), banking financing commitments to corporations worth Rp575 billion were established.
Head of Bank Indonesia’s DKI Jakarta Provincial Representative Office, Iwan Setiawan, stated on Sunday that JKF 2026 provided a collaborative space bringing together the government, business sector, MSME players, creative communities, academics, financial institutions, media, and the public within a mutually reinforcing ecosystem. JKF 2026 featured various activities ranging from MSME exhibitions, business matching, and business coaching to creative economy festivals, education, public services, and various competitions.
A total of 377 tenants participated, comprising 290 MSME tenants and 87 service, education, and community tenants, collaborating with 67 institutions and agencies. Over the two-day event, JKF attracted approximately 15,000 visitors. Furthermore, JKF 2026 resulted in a cooperation commitment between banks and young filmmakers from the Jakarta Youth Film Festival, underscoring that the film and music industries are strategic sectors driving the new economy in DKI Jakarta Province.
Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Uus Kuswanto, in his remarks, emphasised that JKF 2026 demonstrated the importance of creativity and collaboration as the foundation for Jakarta’s economic development. He noted that the JKF momentum is becoming increasingly strategic ahead of Jakarta’s fifth centenary and its transformation into a global city. Strengthening the creative economy, digitalisation, innovation, and MSME empowerment will continue to be important foundations in enhancing Jakarta’s economic competitiveness.
Looking ahead, the Jakarta Creative Festival is expected to continue growing as a strategic collaboration platform that strengthens the MSME and creative economy ecosystem, expands access to financing and markets, accelerates digitalisation, and encourages the emergence of innovation and new entrepreneurs. The spirit of collaboration built through JKF is hoped to drive increasingly inclusive, competitive, and sustainable economic growth in Jakarta, while reinforcing its position as a global city.
