Jakarta — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) remained consistently in positive territory through to the close of trading on Monday afternoon, 23 February 2026, strengthening 1.35 per cent or 111.76 points to reach 8,383.53.

According to monitoring via Stockbit, the IHSG moved sideways after entering the second trading session, fluctuating within a range of 8,327 to 8,397.

Transaction value was recorded at Rp23.50 trillion, with trading volume reaching Rp487.52 billion across a total of 3.02 million transactions conducted by investors.

The raw materials sector maintained the highest gain at 3.31 per cent, followed by a significant jump in the transportation sector of 3.09 per cent. Positive results were also posted by the energy and financial sectors at 1.67 per cent, the cyclical consumer sector rising 1.52 per cent, the industrial sector increasing 1.48 per cent, and the infrastructure sector strengthening 1.07 per cent.

Other sectors recorded gains below 1 per cent, including the non-cyclical consumer sector up 0.98 per cent, the technology sector rising 0.94 per cent, the healthcare sector up 0.74 per cent, and the property sector gaining 0.55 per cent.

The analyst team at Phintraco Sekuritas noted that the rally had been anticipated by investors responding positively to the US Supreme Court’s annulment of President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs. Trump subsequently announced plans to impose a new global tariff of 15 per cent.

On the domestic front, investors are hopeful that the US-Indonesia trade agreement signed last week may be revisited, as the tariff rate stipulated in that agreement was higher at 19 per cent. Additional positive sentiment stemmed from reports that MSCI had approved proposals from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

On a technical basis, the Phintraco Sekuritas analyst team observed that the IHSG’s MACD histogram continued to strengthen in positive territory, supported by rising buying volume. However, the Stochastic RSI has begun to slow and is currently in overbought territory.

Phintraco Sekuritas also reported several stocks that recorded the highest price gains during the trading session. Among the top three performers in the LQ45 blue-chip index were:

PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) — shares surged 5.94 per cent or 120 points, closing at 2,140.

Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) was also among the top performers in the session.
