Jakarta CFD to Be Held on Jalan Rasuna Said This Weekend

Car Free Day (CFD) will be held on Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, this weekend, on Sunday (10/5/2026) from 05:30 WIB to 10:00 WIB. “Rasuna Said will also be prepared to become a car free day like Sudirman-Thamrin,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, quoted from Kompas.com. As is known, Jakarta’s CFD has previously been held every Sunday along Sudirman-Thamrin road. According to Pramono, the expansion of CFD is also part of efforts to increase the attractiveness of the capital’s tourism. He mentioned that the Jakarta CFD activity is now not just a space for residents’ sports, but has developed into a tourism magnet that attracts visitors from outside the area to abroad. In addition to the high public interest factor, the opening of CFD on Rasuna Said is also carried out along with the completion of the revitalisation of that road area. Pramono said the revitalisation of Jalan HR Rasuna Said is targeted to be completed in early June and will be inaugurated on 22 June 2026, coinciding with Jakarta Anniversary Day. In the future, the Rasuna Said area is also projected to become a location for various international activities. Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government is preparing the area as one of the new public activity centres in Jakarta. Pramono emphasised that the DKI Provincial Government will fully support the implementation of various international activities as well as community activities in the area. “For Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said on the east side, it applies to the segment from the Gembira Road intersection to the Raya Casablanca Road intersection. Meanwhile, on the west side, it applies to the segment from the Prof. Dr. Satrio Road intersection to the Setiabudi Utara Raya Road intersection,” said Ujang Harmawan, quoted from Kompas.com.
