Jakarta asked to probe death
PALANGKA RAYA, Central Kalimantan: A former Antara journalist has asked National Police Chief Gen. Banurusman Astrosemitro to look his daughter's death, which occurred under unusual circumstances.
J.F. Nahan refuses to accept the local police verdict that there was no foul play in her death and that she had committed suicide, Antara reported.
His daughter, Estrellita Novrisanty, was found dead at the end of May at the home of her boyfriend. Police said she died after drinking insecticide. Estrellita had just graduated from senior high school.
The family believes that the boyfriend had something to do with the death, bearing in mind that Estrellita was pregnant at the time. (emb)
