Jakarta and West Java Lead Investment Realisation in Q1 2025
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani revealed that Jakarta and West Java still occupy the top positions for the largest investment realisation in Q1 2025.
Rosan stated that total investment realisation in Q1 2025 reached Rp 465.2 trillion, representing an increase of approximately 15.9% compared to the same period the previous year.
"On this occasion, I wish to convey that the number one investment destination remains Jakarta at approximately 15% or Rp 69.8 trillion, followed by West Java at 14.7% or Rp 68.5 trillion," said Rosan at the Presidential Office, as quoted on Thursday (24/4/2025).
East Java accounted for 7.8% of investment realisation at Rp 36 trillion, Central Sulawesi at Rp 32.7 trillion, and Banten at 6.7% or Rp 31 trillion.
However, in total, investment realisation outside Java was slightly larger than within Java. "If we look at the concentration between Java and outside Java, thankfully outside Java is actually slightly larger at Rp 235.9 trillion (50.7%), whilst Java accounts for Rp 229.4 trillion (49.3%)," said Rosan.
Rosan disclosed that Indonesia's investment performance has been progressing well despite rising geopolitical and geo-economic tensions. This also demonstrates foreign investors' confidence in Indonesia.
"Investment represents a long-term commitment, and they see that under President Prabowo's leadership, stability, peace and security are very well maintained. As a result, investment inflows continue in line with our future targets," said Rosan.
