The Jakarta Communication, Information, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) has confirmed that all CCTV infrastructure owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government in the Bundaran HI area was in prime condition and functioning properly during a student demonstration. Head of Diskominfotik DKI Jakarta, Marulina Dewi, stated that the operational CCTV system is actively used to support security, public order, and safety, including coordination with the police. She was responding to public complaints on social media regarding access issues to certain CCTV feeds. Marulina explained that the disruption occurred on third-party digital platforms, not on the official government system. She emphasised that these platforms are not part of the official CCTV network managed by the Jakarta Provincial Government, and any streaming issues or data availability problems on those sites do not reflect the actual performance of the government’s CCTV infrastructure, which continued to record and monitor the situation optimally on the ground.
