Jail breaker recaptured

DILI, East Timor: All but one of the eight prisoners who
escaped in January during a riot in Becora prison near here have
been recaptured.

Police found the seventh jail breaker Paul Jorge Amaral in
Fatuhada last Friday.

Chief of the provincial office of the justice ministry Benny
Matthaus said over the weekend that Paul has been sent back to
his cell.

He called on the prisoner still at large to voluntarily
surrender to the local police, Antara reported yesterday. (rms)
