Jaguar to open new shop in Jakarta

JAKARTA: Due to its growing customer base, Jaguar's local distributor PT Grandauto Dinamika is set to build a full-fledged showroom and workshop in the capital.

Grandauto's chief of operations Darwin Maspolin said on Tuesday that his company would invest up to Rp 50 billion (US$5.5 million) to build a five-story workshop in South Jakarta.

"The reason is that 85 percent of our customers live in the capital," he said, adding that the construction of the new building was part of Jaguar's campaign to improve on its after-sales service.

Currently, Jaguar has a showroom, combined with a workshop, on Jl. S. Parman, West Jakarta. -- JP
