Jaguar Design Chief Officially to Leave the Company

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Design Director Gerry McGovern is confirmed to officially leave the company at the end of March 2026. After holding the position for a long time, Gerry McGovern is believed to be serious about his decision to leave the company following rumours that circulated at the end of 2025. According to Motor1, on Friday (20/3) local time, rumours circulated at the end of 2025 that Gerry had been “escorted out of the office,” but JLR denied the news at that time. Autocar was the first to obtain the memo and confirmed that Gerry will indeed leave the company. The reason for Gerry’s departure from the company is that he plans to establish his own creative consultancy firm. He has worked at Jaguar and Land Rover for more than 21 years and was responsible for models such as the Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Evoque. He also led the design team for the controversial Type 00 concept. In addition, he expressed his appreciation to Tata Motors, the parent company of JLR. JLR’s new CEO PB Balaji did not forget to thank McGovern for the “significant contributions” he has made to the automotive company.
