After five years in Indonesia, Bank Jago continues to strengthen its position as a pioneer in the art of placing money and managing investments. The Jago App has evolved from a digital banking application for saving and transacting into a comprehensive platform for placing and growing assets within an integrated financial journey.

The latest development, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the Jago App, sees Bank Jago introducing an integrated interface that enables customers to view their entire investment portfolio scattered across various platforms in a single tab within the Jago App. This is connected to the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) as well as existing digital ecosystem partner investment platforms such as Bibit and Stockbit.

Irene Santoso, Head of Digital Lending Business at Bank Jago, explained today (17/4) in Jakarta, “Just like the art of placing money, the art of investing is not only about choosing the right investment instruments but also understanding the entire investment portfolio we hold. Currently, the challenge faced by users is no longer the limited choice of investment instruments, but rather the scattered and unconnected investment asset information, which could lead customers to make decisions based on incomplete information.”

This refinement of the Jago App aligns with Bank Jago’s aspiration to enhance growth opportunities for millions through digital financial solutions focused on everyday life. “This also represents Bank Jago’s commitment to accompanying its users at every stage of their financial journey, from managing daily needs, placing money according to goals, to growing finances through investment instruments within one integrated app in the digital financial ecosystem,” she added.

From the outset, Irene acknowledged, the Jago App has offered the Kantong feature to separate money into various categories according to purposes. This approach is inspired by local wisdom or traditional Indonesian habits of separating money into different containers, such as envelopes or simple storage based on needs.

“This way of organising money has proven effective in encouraging Jago App users to be more disciplined in placing money and achieving their financial goals,” Irene stated.

By March 2026, there were approximately 43.2 million Kantong used by 15.2 million users. On average, each user has nearly three dedicated Kantong. Among the various available features, the Spending Kantong is the most widely used, particularly for daily needs such as food, snacks, and other routine expenses. Additionally, users utilise Kantong for paying bills, business needs, and seasonal fund allocations, such as Holiday Allowances (THR), Eid, and sacrificial offerings.

To optimise financial management and planning, the Jago App provides the Spend Analysis feature, which includes all details of income and expenses that have been categorised. Supported by machine learning technology, the Jago App automatically groups each transaction while still allowing customers to adjust categories according to their needs. This helps them understand their largest expense categories and control finances better.

As customer needs and financial literacy in money management increase, Bank Jago observes that Jago App users are becoming more active in investing. This is reflected in the continuous 38.2% annual increase in Jago App users connected to partner investment platforms Bibit and Stockbit as of 31 December 2025.

In terms of portions, mutual funds are the largest investment choice at 44%, followed by stocks at 42%, and bonds at 14%. “The growing interest in stock market investments is also evident from the opening of Customer Fund Accounts (RDN) at Bank Jago, which more than doubled throughout 2025,” Irene concluded.
