Jaecoo's Expansion: Reaching Secondary Cities with Class C Dealerships
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Jaecoo Indonesia is targeting the development of a network of up to 80 dealerships throughout Indonesia by the end of 2026. This move is part of an aggressive expansion strategy to accelerate penetration of the national automotive market. According to the company, the availability of dealerships is a key factor in building market confidence, especially for brands that are strengthening their presence in Indonesia. “In the future, we are targeting the development of a network of up to 80 dealerships throughout Indonesia by the end of this year, to ensure that our services are closer and more easily accessible to customers,” said Jim Ma in West Jakarta, Wednesday (25/2/2026). Meanwhile, Head of Marketing at Jaecoo Indonesia, Iham Pratama, admitted that the target was quite challenging. He said that network expansion requires careful planning, including the selection of strategic locations and realistic investment schemes. “For this year’s target, it is indeed quite challenging. There will definitely be several strategies,” said Iham. So far, the opening of dealerships has been focused on large cities in categories A and B. In the future, the company will introduce a Class C standard dealership format to make investment more efficient, while still maintaining brand visibility. With this approach, the costs of building and operating dealerships in tier 2 and 3 cities can be reduced compared to large cities. This strategy is expected to accelerate expansion without sacrificing the quality of service to customers. Network expansion is key to increasing competitiveness in the competitive Indonesian automotive market. The wider the reach of services, the greater the opportunity for Jaecoo to strengthen its market share and build customer loyalty in various regions.
