Jakarta – Jaecoo Indonesia has assured customers that the Jaecoo J5 EV will remain priced below IDR 300 million despite uncertainty regarding government electric vehicle incentives for 2026. The electric SUV is currently priced at IDR 299.9 million.

Head of Marketing Jaecoo Indonesia Ilham Pratama stated that the decision to maintain pricing was made whilst awaiting clarity on incentive policies that could affect electric vehicle pricing structures in the domestic market.

As a precautionary measure, Jaecoo is also offering a lock price scheme for consumers who place orders early. Through this programme, buyers will not need to pay additional costs if prices increase before their units are delivered.

“We are offering lock price as a promotion. For example, if a consumer wants to take it, even if the policy is scrapped or discontinued and prices rise, they won’t have to pay any additional charges,” said Ilham.

He explained that the programme applies uniformly across all Jaecoo dealership networks in Indonesia. Delivery of units to consumers is scheduled to begin in April 2026.

“Deliveries will only start in April. Because we are still hoping for confirmation soon, perhaps after Lebaran. But if not, we already have a pricing scenario for April,” he said.

“Now it is IDR 10 million for 2026. In 2025 it was IDR 8 million,” Ilham added.
