Jaecoo J5 EV Sales Surge as Deliveries Reach 16,000 Units
JAKARTA - Jaecoo J5 EV sales continue to show positive trends in the Indonesian market. By April 2026, 16,000 units of the J5 EV have been delivered to customers.
In the January to April 2026 period, the SUV dubbed ‘The Real SUV’ recorded retail sales of 10,587 units and wholesale sales of 11,006 units.
This achievement has made the J5 EV one of the best-selling electric vehicles in Indonesia during the first part of 2026.
Jaecoo attributes this success to growing consumer confidence in their electric vehicles in Indonesia.
The J5 EV is designed as a comfortable and efficient daily-use SUV with a range of up to 461 km.
Meanwhile, the J7 SHS-P and J8 SHS-P ARDIS are equipped with Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology, claimed to combine performance and efficiency for long-distance travel.
Previously, the J7 SHS-P completed a Jakarta-Bali journey of 1,377 km, while the J8 SHS-P ARDIS broke a MURI record as the PHEV with the longest range of 1,660 km on a single charge and fuel fill.
To celebrate these achievements, Jaecoo Indonesia hosted the Jaecoo Weekend Drive – Together for More event in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta.
The event, attended by customers, communities, media, and car enthusiasts, is part of Jaecoo’s effort to build a modern premium vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.
Jim Ma, Business Unit Director of Jaecoo Indonesia, stated that the delivery of 16,000 J5 EV units and the J5 EV’s position as the No.1 SUV EV in Indonesia for the first four months of 2026 are strong evidence of consumer trust in Jaecoo.
“Through Jaecoo Weekend Drive – Together for More, we aim to offer more than just vehicles, but also to build closer relationships with communities and customers through a comprehensive ownership experience, from the sales process, accessory options for vehicle personalisation, to Jaecoo’s after-sales service readiness in Indonesia,” Jim Ma said on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
At the event, Jaecoo also held a community sharing session where J5 EV users shared daily usage experiences, including operational cost efficiency and driving comfort.
Furthermore, Jaecoo reinforced its after-sales service readiness in Indonesia through the development of its dealer and authorised service network.
Currently, Jaecoo has 35 dealers operating in Indonesia and aims to expand to 80 dealers by the end of 2026.
Through these activities, Jaecoo hopes to strengthen customer relationships and solidify its position in Indonesia’s electrified vehicle market.
