Jaecoo J5 EV Price Increase: List of Electric Cars Around Rp 200 Million

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Electric car prices in Indonesia are experiencing another adjustment. The latest development is that PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has officially increased the price of the Jaecoo J5 EV starting April 2026. This rise slightly shifts the J5 EV’s position in the affordable electric vehicle segment, where it was previously quite competitive around Rp 200 million. Based on the latest data, the Jaecoo J5 EV is now available in two variants. The Standard type is marketed at Rp 279.9 million, up from Rp 249.9 million previously. Meanwhile, the top variant, J5 EV Premium, is now priced at Rp 309.9 million. From BYD, the Atto 1 Premium is available at Rp 235 million. Geely also offers the EX2 Pro at Rp 255 million and EX2 Max at Rp 285 million. Meanwhile, the Neta V-II is around Rp 299 million. In the more affordable segment, Seres presents the E1 L-Type at Rp 219 million. VinFast is also quite aggressive with various options, including the VF 5 sold from Rp 212 million (battery lease) up to Rp 272.35 million. Additionally, the VF e34 with a battery lease scheme is offered at Rp 283 million. Wuling is still playing in this segment with the Air EV Lite Standard Range at Rp 214 million and Long Range at Rp 251 million. With an increasing number of choices, competition for electric cars in the Rp 200 million range is getting tighter. The J5 EV price increase gives consumers more considerations before deciding on a choice.
