Jaecoo J5 EV Lead Time Claimed to Be Just One Month
Jaecoo is seeking to maintain the distribution of the Jaecoo J5 EV so that consumer waiting times are not too long. This follows strong demand for the J5 in the Indonesian market.
Mohamad Ilham Pratama, Head of Marketing for Jaecoo Indonesia, said that the current lead time for the J5 is averaging around one month, particularly for the Java and Jabodetabek regions.
‘TFor the lead time of one month,’ Ilham said in Bogor, West Java, on Thursday (21 May 2026).
‘The lead time depends; for the Jabodetabek and Java areas it could be one month. But perhaps outside Java there is additional time due to shipping. For example, shipments to Sumatra, Kalimantan, Denpasar, etc. Add a few days beyond the normal,’ he said.
Ilham said Jaecoo claims to have shipped more than 13,000 units of the J5 by the end of April 2026. The company is also pursuing additional distribution so total shipments increase.
‘That means we want to maintain monthly consistency at the level we sell. Above 2,000 units. 3,000 units was the figure yesterday. We want to keep increasing there,’ Ilham said.
