Jaecoo Hosts Jaecoo Land Festival to Celebrate Strong Sales of J5 EV in March 2026
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Chinese automaker Jaecoo is holding the Jaecoo Land 2026 event in the One Satrio area, South Jakarta, on 11–12 April 2026. This activity is being organised to celebrate the sales achievements of its electric model, the J5 EV, which is claimed to be Indonesia’s best-selling electric vehicle in March 2026.
Based on retail data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), J5 EV sales showed a growth trend in the first three months of this year. In January, the model sold 1,942 units, increasing to 2,926 units in February, and recording 2,775 units in March.
Jaecoo targets a total distribution of 13,000 J5 EV units by the end of April 2026. Jaecoo Indonesia’s Business Unit Director, Jim Ma, said that high demand is the main driver of the brand’s growth in the domestic market.
“Enthusiasm for the J5 EV continues to show a positive trend and strengthens our optimism in achieving the 13,000-unit delivery target,” he stated.
Globally, Jaecoo has recorded fairly aggressive market expansion. To date, the company has reached more than 960,000 customers in 64 countries. In March 2026, global sales reached 61,254 units, a 210% year-on-year increase.
The largest contribution came from the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, which recorded sales of 39,716 units, up 471% compared to the same period last year. In the UK market, Jaecoo’s sales also exceeded 12,000 units in March with a market share above 3%, driven by the J7 model.
In Indonesia, total retail sales of Jaecoo’s NEV line from January to March 2026 reached 7,927 units.
Through the organisation of Jaecoo LAND, the company aims to expand interactions with consumers. Jim Ma said this event is a way to bring the brand closer to the public through direct experiences.
“We are providing a space for the public to enjoy the weekend with a different experience together with Jaecoo,” he said.
Through a series of events over two days, visitors can enjoy a variety of interactive activities curated for all ages. From a creative bazaar with more than 20 tenants, live music performances, to wellness sessions such as yoga and pilates with experts, including zumba sessions with Sana Studio.
Not only that, Jaecoo LAND also features inspirational talkshows with Indonesian racer Julian Johan (Jejelogy), children’s playground facilities, and a special pet experience area that provides a different experience for pet lovers.
Visitors can also test drive several Jaecoo models directly, including the J5 EV, J7 SHS-P, and J8 SHS-P ARDIS, which feature electric vehicle technology and hybrid systems.
On the network side, Jaecoo currently operates 32 dealers in Indonesia and plans to add 25 new networks in the near future. The company targets a total of up to 80 outlets operating across Indonesia by the end of 2026.
