Jaecoo delivers 16,000 electric vehicles to Indonesian consumers
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Chinese automotive brand Jaecoo has delivered a total of 16,000 units of its first electric vehicle in Indonesia, the Jaecoo J5, by the end of last month. The Chery sub-brand has also pledged to strengthen its after-sales service network as part of its commitment to domestic customers.
‘We aim to offer more than just vehicles; we want to build closer relationships with communities and customers through a comprehensive ownership experience, from the sales process, accessory options for vehicle personalisation, to after-sales service readiness in Indonesia,’ said Jim Ma, Director of Jaecoo Indonesia’s Business Unit.
Jaecoo’s first electric vehicle line has achieved success with sales of tens of thousands of units within months of its official launch in early November 2025. In the first four months of this year, wholesale sales of the Jaecoo J5 exceeded 11,000 units, making it one of Indonesia’s best-selling EVs in early 2026.
As part of its commitment to the domestic automotive market, Jaecoo plans to further strengthen after-sales services for customers. Currently, the brand has 35 operational dealerships in Indonesia and aims to expand to 80 dealers by year-end.
Jaecoo attributes the positive reception of its electric vehicles to the features offered as a modern SUV. The vehicle is suitable for urban mobility as well as outdoor activities, with a ground clearance of 200mm and wading depth capability of 450mm.
Priced from Rp280 million per unit, the vehicle comes equipped with 17 ADAS features, a 540-degree HD camera, panoramic roof, 64-colour ambient lighting, and 50W fast wireless charging, designed to enhance comfort and convenience for drivers.
