Jaecoo Aims to Fulfil All J5 EV Orders Before Eid
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – As Eid 2026 approaches, Jaecoo Indonesia is accelerating the delivery of its J5 EV model to meet consumer demand. The company aims to deliver thousands of units currently on back order before the holiday.
Head of Marketing at Jaecoo Indonesia, Ilham Pratama, said that to date, orders for the J5 EV have exceeded 14,000 units, with over 4,000 units already delivered to consumers.
This accelerated distribution is supported by the addition of new assembly facilities, allowing for faster production and increased distribution capacity.
This move is part of Jaecoo’s strategy to ensure that all orders placed in 2025 are fulfilled before Eid.
He added that although the long waiting times have disappointed some customers, leading to order cancellations, the number is not significant.
“Most of those who buy EVs use them as a second or additional car, so it can be said that they are not in a hurry to get the unit,” said Ilham.
Technically, this electric car is equipped with a 155 kW electric motor, equivalent to 207.8 hp, with a peak torque of 288 Nm, supported by a 60.9 kWh battery that allows for a range of up to 461 kilometers (NEDC) on a single charge.
The 130 kW fast charging feature allows charging from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 28 minutes.
To make it easier for customers, Jaecoo continues to increase the number of dealers so that purchases and after-sales service are more easily accessible. This strategy is expected to increase consumer confidence in the relatively new brand in the Indonesian electric vehicle market.
